Yes. Tamiya is pretty much the only primer I use, and I paint with Testors enamels frequently, usually thinned with lacquer thinner, but using enamel thinner is ok too.

For the testors enamel bottle paint, is it 2 parts thinner and 1 part paint or 50/50 mix.

 

I haven't airbrush before where i need to thin the paint myself

Yes. 

I start with 50/50 paint/thinner, add more thinner if necessary.

I generally start with a roughly 50/50 mix and adjust from there if needed. I find 50/50 mix to be pretty close to ideal most of the time.

That's a big YES from me too

All of the above replies cover the mix ratios but I do thin mine a bit more as I use a fine tip on my airbrush

The Tamiya rattle cans are good too
