Johnny Wholeschott's 29 Ford

What do you do when you have a worn out Model A and your father's wrecked 37 Chevy?  Pull the stovebolt out of the Chevy and shoehorn it into the Ford of course!  At least that's what Johnny Wholeschott did back in '47 .  All he had was a Lincoln welder, a pile of rusty scrap metal, and a JC Whitney catalog, so he went to work.  Little did he know that when he decided to do his first channel job, he created a whole lot of extra work for himself getting that mill to fit.  The idea was to keep the stock hood length, so he had to drop the radiator support which raised the front end.  But he thought it looked pretty cool and that old thing sounded like a B-29 whizzing through the dirt roads of West Virginia.  And wouldn't you know it's been sitting in the family barn all these years.
