The other is a 1:25 Monogram "Rockin' Rods" "Beach Boys Little Deuce Coupe" rendition, an older kit. The Monogram kit is a bit toy-like in that the kit is molded in red. I'd be quite surprised if the Monogram body looks that good chopped...and that the Revell windshield looks that wonky after a large chop. No matter, great work on them both! It's an older build that I did before I found out that model putty shrinks. After that I became a fanatic for Bondo. The roofs are quite different. Not sure how far back the "Little Deuce Coupe" kit goes, but the Revell kit is pretty much the same e kit as the 5W kit. Different body, but it came with most of the other stuff. The engine in my version is from the 5W. The "Rockin' Rods" series also immortalized the ZZ Top "Eliminator" '33 coupe, also in red styrene. Also toy-like and not well detailed. But I digress.🥴 Nothing looks right on the Monogram body; it all looks distorted. But it's a 3 window coupe and that's all I care about 😎 Looks more like a Plymouth 😆 Below is a shot of the roof that was filled with Tamiya putty. Phil, I really don't recall what chassis went where but it is probably the one that came with AL Jardine's ride (yup, read the box 🙄). As stated above, that kit was very disappointng. Or maybe it came out of the '29 roadster kit. I dunno. I mix stuff up so much anything's possible 🤪. The big thing with the "Beach Boy" body is the A pillars. They bear no resemblance to those of a 1932 ford. None. That kit was a dog, full stop.
