Best news I’ve read all week ! Thank you so much Dave! I was hoping you’d do a Dodge version of your Plymouth kits in the future and now to read they’re underway, you’ve made my day!
Is it too early to ask what specific drag car(s) will be shown on the box art and decals?

There is one thing this kit needs is a  8 3/4 " rear end this photo is Mr Dick Landy's  '65 A/FX Dodge Coronet .

That's been my contention. The Dana 60 --while a common upgrade-- didn't premiere until the 1966 model year. The 8.75'' was the only rear , regardless of transmission (including the 1964-1965 Hemi, which were race-only until '66).

IIRC, Landy's '65 Coronet 'WO51'-come-A/FX has two different tail lamp bezels : one with the Back-Up lamp (mandated by 01/01/1965; optional or standard on the 500 model until the mandate) , and one without that provision (e.g., a 'blank' section with the Dodge 'Tri-Star' emblem cast with the bezel).

Does it really matter which rear comes in the kit?  Just the fact that Moebius  will be doing the 65 Coronet in both the A-990 and altered wheelbase version is excellant news.  Correct rear axle or not lets support them.  Lets keep open minded about this kit subject.  Who knows;  Moebius, after reading through  this topic may very well include the 8 3/4 rear assembly in this kit.

Any chance Moebius will be doing 65 AFX Mustangs in the future?

Hope not...

The upcoming amt fastback reissue will provide the most accurate body for one anyways

Hopefully something as inspiring as those in the Nova Gasser kit. Maybe something like "Get The 'Net!" or "Altered State

I like those titles.  Also, be good if they came with the Hodges Dodges decals.

There are a lot of aftermarket decals out there and with this release there will probably be more.

As far as decals in the new kit my own preference would be the Harrop's Flying Carpet car whuch won the first Super Stock & Drag Illustrated meet at York in August '65.

Thanks for taking the time to document all these, Ed.  Very helpful....TIM
