AMT68
This 1/25 scale AMT '69 Chevelle was built from a parts lot I purchased off ebay and contained everything needed for the build less the engine and tires/wheels. Painted in Dupli-Color Bordeaux Red (a Honda Color) and cleared with Rustoeum Acrylic Auto Lacquer. Not a build for SS-396 purists since I had some fun with this one. Originally planned as a curbside I installed a spare motor from the '69 Riviera which only required some minor modifications to the chassis and top of the transmission to get it to fit. For what it's worth the correct motor for this kit is not the greatest fit in the transmission area either. I added some heater hoses to the engine compartment but didn't bother to upload the pictures since I'm still a work in progress when it comes to detailing in that area. The lower bodyside area has been foiled and the panel between the rear tail lights done with matte foil further distancing this one from a factory original. The buckskin interior though isn't too far off from the saddle offered from the factory. And the wheels are spares from one of the AMT '69 Chevelles kits I have as are the Good Year tires that were frequently found in AMT kits from the '70's and 80's.
