OldTrucker
Got the AMT Ertl stake bed that has the C-900 parts and that is what I am going to build. Kit has one bad tire that I'll have to replace if I can find one the same size. Have a set of the AMT Big Rig tires on the way so maybe I'll use them instead. Have the chrome parts soaking in the purple pond, the chrome was gone in about 2 hours but after 3 days the varnish was still clinging on to the parts so back to soak some more! Petriedish
Nice work on this so far. I recently stripped some chrome parts in the purple pond, and then soaked them in 99% Isopropyl alcohol to remove the clear coating that remained. A toothbrush and some light scrubbing removed it, and sometimes a second soak was required. Hope this helps.

The small chrome pieces looked like chrome blobs because the varnish was so thick under the plating.

Haven't really decided but one will be white but still undecided on the second color. Going to pair it up with the old Lindberg box trailer. Mopar - D
Are you going to build the trailer in the long or short version?
tbill
Looking good so far, wheels look terrific. Pup trailer will look right at home behind it.
OldTrucker
Starting on the Lindberg bax trailer for it. What a pain with loads of flash and warped panels.. Got the axle assembly done glued bed halves and side panels together. Will assemble the box and paint as a unit.
Mopar - D
Nice work on a very old kit that has been reissued many times over the years.
OldTrucker
A little more work done on the trailer. Could used a third hand trying to get this thing together straight! Finally got the box done and ready for paint as soon as it gets warm enough. Went ahead and glued the doors shut after several tries to get them to work right. OldTrucker
Got the cab painted, took a week for the paint to cure. Guess humidity must have slowed it. Just finished the window trim and vents. Used acrylic craft paint so I could fix any mistakes I would make, and I did too!Lol Not easy with one hand that wants to shake all the time now. My modeling days may be coming to an end I guess.
