Beamerman
Hello friends, last year i started to build the Revell Gran Turismo. I have no idea why. I don´t like Kit cars, i don´t like VW Bugs but i wanted to build something small and quick...well.... This kit is no no.1 of my worst ever kits and send the Jo-Han AMC Rambler on the second place... The Parts are small, blue an full of sink marks. Nothing fits. The Chrom is horrible. I decided to build it with the Corvair engine. I glued on the sidepanels which means i need to revise the chassis. The Kit has no Doorpanels so i build something on my own. I also opened the front air intakes. Here are the pics. I finsihed it last days but i don´t wanted to start a WIP Topic because i was not sure if this thing will survive....:-) Cheers!
cobraman
You are so right about this kit but, it looks like you got a handle on it.
Bainford
It's not a great kit, but I have a feeling your build will be one of the nicest done from it.

I built this when it was new and short of anything by Palmer, I have to agree. I also have the SC/Rambler and it sits in a box started from almost 35 years ago, maybe someday
Maindrian Pace
Revell kits from that era are truly hit or miss, interesting subjects but confounding fitment issues, wonky body proportions, terrible two piece tires that resist all forms of glue known to man, needlessly complex sub assemblies, and crazy parts counts. But great box art, which is... something. Building one and making it look nice is a true achievement.
Lunajammer
You're doing a great job on it though. This kit is more fun for thinking outside the box, like as a flying car, or chopped onto a hot rod chassis or something.
Beamerman
I´m calling this thing finally done...more in the under glass topic... Thanks for following and the nice comments! Cheers
customline
Faced with this situation, I think I would have kept the seats and thrown the rest in my scrap bin. I applaud your perseverance. You did a really nice job with it, whatever it is 🤔.
Modlbldr
I have always been curious about this kit and have thought often about getting it to build. I have never seen anyone build it and have always wondered what it looked like built up. Those thoughts have now been put to rest! Thank you for saving me from myself! Later-
