V8tiger
I'm working on the engine of my 1/16th scale "Green Elephant" funny car. What size spark plug wire should I use? Thanks to all...Joe
bisc63
Something in the .015" - .020" (about .4 - .5mm) should look right.
deuces wild
That depends on what plug wire diameter they used in the early 70s funny cars and dragsters.... Was it 6mm, 7mm or 8mm plug wires???..🤔 Just take those^^^^diameters and divide by 16.... The scale your working with and you'll have your answers... I think 8mm wasn't common until a decade later, and no serious racer would have been running 6mmm at that time, UNLESS they were the old solid core wires! ( I used to have a set of those hanging in the shed, finally tossed them; solid copper core in translucent red jacket.) Was the Green Elephant a real race car? You might have to do a little research there...
