1937 Ford Street Rod

I based this build on a 1:1 car hat I had seen years ago in Truckin' magazine. I started with the Boyd's Smoothster kit by Testors. Molded in the chrome trimming, Cut the body behind the drivers seat and finished it off as a pick up by scratchbuilding the rear half of the model including widening the rear fenders to accomodate the box. The consol was scratch built, and the roof was shortened to fit the new bod style. Got rid of the front suspension that came with the kit and replaced it with a more accurate independent set up. Brakes are the 15 inch discs by Pegasus, and the tires and wheels are the 19" chrome T's with big and little tires also by Pegasus. A ford motor ws used with a 6 pack set up with resin cast air cleaners. The paint is 2003 Lambourghini Alta Tangerine Pearl Orange with a touch of Sunset Russet Pearl.
