Thanks for the info on your photo setup - very hand info (and you do seem to have some professional equipment at your disposal). :)

The big takeaway is to make the light source large, soft and close to the model.  :^)

Lovely build of the 911.  Those eighties Porsches do require a lot of masking - I did the new Revell 911 Targa kit recently and that required a lot as well.  Still, I prefer it to a 70's build that would require BMF!

@Jim Whalen I think I might agree with you. I’ve tried BMF on 2 occasions and was less than satisfied with the results - just couldn’t get it to lay down properly.

Another one I somehow missed from last year. That is one beautiful Turbo. The photography is amazing too and that does indeed look like a 1:1 car!

Your masking skills must be heroic to have achieved such a great result. In the Fujimi EM kit all the black trim are separate pieces, but I think the overall proportions are more accurate in the Tamiya kit.

Much appreciated Sonny. My eyes certainly aren’t what they used to be so I purchased one of those desktop magnifier lights which I use for all detail painting, fine filling/sanding and masking <- highly recommend.

Well, Fujimi’s kit will certainly make life easier. Tamiya’s kit isn’t very detailed (by their standard) but goes together well.
