I already had this one but many of the decals were flaking off. It was done a long time ago. When I opened the new kit it had both liveries so now I have a new decal sheet and am re-doing my original build plus the new one. Yours is definetly inspiration. Now, since we are in longtails, how about a Maserati (1/24 Aardvark resin kit, Le Mans 1960) Made the front wheels "steerable", also a few modifications here and there, but most importantly replaced the "Herb Deeks" wire wheels by outside laced ones from our Portuguese wizard Fernando Pinto. 4 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Wow William, both the Maserati and the Alfa are simply stunning builds. The Alpha looks like a beast of a car. Wonderful how cars all looked different from each other back then. Ben Brown Posted July 18, 2022 Share Posted July 18, 2022 I finished this Tamiya 956 from the ‘84 Le Mans race a few weeks ago. I used Indycals decals and Classic Racing Resins rear wheels. I found out late in the build that the car was actually a short tail 956, but I didn’t want to spend another 50 bucks on a resin conversion and replacement decals, so I’m just living with it.
