Wow...I recently aquired this kit in another livery. I already had this one but many of the decals were flaking off.  It was done a long time ago.  When I opened the new kit it had both liveries so now I have a new decal sheet and am re-doing my original build plus  the new one.  Yours is definetly inspiration. I didn't know you could add all that detail. Thanks for posting your build. It will be great reference.

Thanks guys 🙂  And I have to also thank the late MQ for designing and printing the snake and the Lucas lion (see top photo).

Now, since we are in longtails, how about a Maserati (1/24 Aardvark resin kit, Le Mans 1960)

Made the front wheels "steerable", also a few modifications here and there, but most importantly replaced the "Herb Deeks" wire wheels by outside laced ones from our Portuguese wizard Fernando Pinto.

Wow William, both the Maserati and the Alfa are simply stunning builds.

The Alpha looks like a beast of a car. Wonderful how cars all looked different from each other back then.

Wm...that is simply stunning...thanks for posting it.

Absolutely marvellous Alfa Romeo, William - this proves again the fact that the 60's had the most wonderful racecars (at least for me).

I finished this Tamiya 956 from the ‘84 Le Mans race a few weeks ago. I used Indycals decals and Classic Racing Resins rear wheels. I found out late in the build that the car was actually a short tail 956, but I didn’t want to spend another 50 bucks on a resin conversion and replacement decals, so I’m just living with it.

Thank you Gramps 46. This was a build of passion. When I was a kid I loved the ford GTs but the Ferraris were so beautiful. This was my first model factory hiro kit and it was very intimidating. Just took my time and it came out. Now I really like mfh kits. Doing a lemans winner right now. Another mfh Ferrari in 1/24. Making it a touring car.
