3D Printing Storefront Directory

Recommended Posts

Hoping the admins will pin this similar to the aftermarket directory

3D printing is exploding in our hobby. I thought it would be great to start a directory here for quick reference.

One problem I'm finding is that when people share stuff they found or purchased from Shapeways. Shapeways is just the company that prints the 3D files and ships the product. The have hundereds 9if not thousands) of storefronts where the people that designed the files offer them up for purchase.

The conversation usually goes. "Hey, just got these from Shapeways"... but WHERE on Shapeways. Adding to the problem that the search function on Shapeways site is not the best.

So that's why I'm proposing this post to be pinned to use as a directory to finding specific storefronts on Shapeways.

However, this directory isn't intended to be ONLY for Shapeways stores. Any place that you can purchase 3D printed items can be included here.

I am inclined to exclude sites where you only purchase a 3D file, not actual physical product. Just in an effort to keep the list a bit more streamlined. But I'll leave the call up to the admins.

I'll begin the list in the next post, and then admins can add to it as people provide new links.

For my 2 cents worth: Keeping those who offer printed products separate from those who just offer files would be good. Some have neither the room for a 3D printer nor the inclination to learn the slice and dice and runner placement stuff you have to know to 3D print items. Some of us just want to buy the nifty parts we see.
Maybe if 3D printing gets as simple as printing a page, some of us dummies will be more inclined to jump on board the file route.

Well, there are places that will print a file you buy elsewhere, so even tho you don't have a printer you can buy a file and have it printed.

I think this thread could be a good resource for both files and printed product.

If people can just make note of whether their link is for a file or a print, that would be good.

I'll throw it out there. If people are looking for prints, I'd be open to printing files for them. Wheels/tires, engines, whatever, etc. Cover my costs for resin and shipping, plus a couple of bucks for my time. DM me and we can discuss. :)

Just to add in what I can and will do, I sell my stuff, obviously, I will asko print in demand, and last I offer a 3D scanning service and will either provide the files and or print the item. Here's a picture of a scanned hot wheels I scaled up to 1:32. I also scanned the AMT beetle body and one of the sprues.

I have a 3D printer(resin), and I'm looking for just the files

Same. I just bought an Anycubic M3 Premium a few weeks ago. I've purchased a few files already and followed a couple of accounts from Cults3D. I've got years of experience with Solidworks as well so I've been busy drawing up my own parts to jump start several shelved projects as I try and get back into the hobby.

Falcon Scale Models is a 3D print company out of Poland that does 1:12 scale motorcycle parts (chains, clutch baskets) and some 1:20 scale F1 parts

His eBay name is falconsm_1 and the website is https://www.falconscalemodels.com/

Sorry, I am no longer able to edit the post with the list. I think there's some sort of time limit before it get's locked. But thanks for sharing.
