I thought they tooled up a couple missing parts for the latest release too?
stavanzer
Different Truck, I think. Anybody have a link for the Instruction sheet for this kit? I thought Drastic Plastics had it, but I cannot find it there.
Mark
The truck is the same one that was released separately a few years ago. In the original release, this version had a promo style engine insert instead of the complete OHC 6 engine, also the clear canopy that covered the load area was not included. The Round 2 issue may however be different. Edited April 19, 2022 by Mark Spelling

keyser
It also didn’t have the hydraulic rams for cab. Weird kit but love them.

The current issues have the longer dragster markings.

stavanzer
Looking back at the thread, I see why I was fooled. The 2012 release showed the Cover over the loadbed. This boxing shows the Dragster. It was just different enough to not trigger recognition.
1972coronet
Pontiac 230/250 OHC 6 = COOL !
keyser
Dragster issue doesn’t have engine. It has promo insert. Daytona transport has the Pontiac OHC 6.
Daddyfink
Hey! Found them. The original issue decals vs. the re-issued versions Top decals are the correct version.
keyser
I have early reissue that has the correct ones. I’ve not seen the wonky ones until now. Weird.

unclescott58
Neat looking truck. I have the one release a few years back. The Daytona Transport Truck version. It built into look a nice model. But it’s bed is not big enough to hold anything other than a rail style dragster. I was a little disappointed with that.
