leafsprings Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 (edited) Nice choice in subject matter, the 3/4 ton 4x4. Toughest thing is to figure out what paint scheme and colors to go with. Like the period looking wide base 16.5" tires and wheels. Just a reminder, a common mistake on these '70-'72 Moebius kits is to snap the rear portion of the bed to the frame, it actually needs to be propped up a tiny bit in the rear so the body moldings can line up as a straight arrow from front to rear. Also, overdoing the black wash around the headlights, don't carry too far down, for proper looking headlight buckets. Will be following this build. Edited June 26, 2022 by leafsprings 2
hct728(Bob) Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 Looks great! Love your choice of wheels and tires, with nice depth to the wheels over the kit ones, and the ride height suits it too! 1
dino246gt Posted June 26, 2022 Posted June 26, 2022 I love this build! Did you foil those hubcaps? Looks so good already! 1

A good technique I can use on my Mercury conversion hubcaps, thanks! You do realize your 'handle' does kinda suggest some emblem mods... 1

Mike C. Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 This looks like its going to be a nice one. Are they the Mud King tires from Fireball? 1
Mike C. Posted June 29, 2022 Posted June 29, 2022 Never mind. I was able to make out the lettering on the sidewall. Still looking forward to seeing this build. ? 1
