Calb56 Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Productivity is one way job performance is evaluated, I had a co-worker conplain that I went for a cigarette every hour but our supervisor pointed out my production level was three times of his and if he brought his up then he could take a break each hour also.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Also Sprach Zarathustra by Richard Strauss was used as a major theme in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
misterNNL Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Odyssey by Homer is a series of 24 books written in antiquity in Greece.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 (edited) Greece has never had much of a native car industry, with Namco making trucks and Jeep-like vehicles using bought-in mechanical components, and MAVA building thinly disguised Renaults; recently the Keraboss Super K, a limited-production off-road vehicle, has been announced as "the first car manufactured entirely in Greece" (though there have been a few interesting microcars produced over the years). Classicgas Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Years seem to go by far too fast lately.
NOBLNG Posted November 26, 2022 Author Posted November 26, 2022 Lately I’ve been trying to get myself motivated.
misterNNL Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 Â Motivated and actually accomplishing something are both rare commodities the older I get.
Tom Geiger Posted November 26, 2022 Posted November 26, 2022 (edited) Jo Jo was a man who thought he was a loner Edited November 26, 2022 by Tom Geiger
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 "Loner" is often used as a pejorative.
Calb56 Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 (edited) Pejorative has nothing to do with the fact that Jojo left his home in Tucson, Arizona for some California grass… Edited November 27, 2022 by Calb56
Rob Hall Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Grass can be frustrating to maintain, with the cycle of spring/summer/fall/winter care…
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Care when dealing with small things is akin to "the devil's in the details".
ChrisBcritter Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Details are what Underdog said he didn't have time for, being a "hero who never fails", like when with his supersonic voice he broke the whole city's windows (and even pickle jars).
slusher Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Jars  was always repurposed around my house growing up..
misterNNL Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Concept cars from the 1950's are still inspiring model car builders today.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Yesterday I had more turkey left over than I do today, and after tonight, it'll just be a fond memory.
Classicgas Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Memory is fading more and more as I get older.
NOBLNG Posted November 27, 2022 Author Posted November 27, 2022 Older kits should get built and enjoyed, not hoarded.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 " Hoarded" kits from other old geezers' stashes frequently find their way into my "hoard", and if I don't build them before I fall off my perch, they'll end up getting "hoarded" by somebody else.
Classicgas Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Else is a difficult word to start a sentence with.
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 (edited) "With" is a preposition, and we're told not to end sentences with prepositions like "with", but nobody much pays attention to that these days...other than the terminally pedantic. Edited November 27, 2022 by Ace-Garageguy CLARITY
misterNNL Posted November 27, 2022 Posted November 27, 2022 Pendantic "friends" can be really annoying, but pendantic family is worse.
