Hasegawa 1:24 Volkswagen Type-2 pick-up Truck (8th) Thanks for looking!

Recommended Posts

Hello,
Here is my version of the Hasegawa Volkswagen Type-2 Pick-up Truck. It went together well and was a fun build. Still making a mess of the smaller details with my clumsy fingers. I like the colour scheme but Yuko said the lighter blue should be white instead. Ah well. Will get it right the next time. Interior is the colours as the exterior though none of the photos show it well.
Thanks for looking.
Stay safe and enjoy!

Great looking build. Clean looking trim and body details. The suggestion that the light blue color should have been white would be the more common appearance, but I remember seeing many of these in different colors long ago.

Thanks!

I thought there were other colour combinations than white as well.

Bro, you got it right the first time. I've always liked that light and dark same colour two tone theme. Those Hasagawa vw kit's go together well. Simple static kits but crisp body detail. I did my T2 delivery in the SoCal style.

P.S. Love the garden cafe.

Keep up the good work Conrad, and remember the etic, "build it your way".

Cheers, David. 😎👍20190527_211400.thumb.jpg.9111b83e8d00855cde68ebdf0d3ba165.jpg20190527_211242_001.thumb.jpg.a3d09c20a3c134a331f026d7bd11bd82.jpg20190527_211309_001.thumb.jpg.affd6a5705b764a36913a20f56b5b48d.jpg20190527_211431.thumb.jpg.535e70f879b43ff9875d593942f8a2df.jpg

Thanks David,

Appreciate the comments.
The kit went together well.
Your shaggin' wagon looks slick too. Thanks for sharing.

The Cafe is  Yuko's build. I had nothing to do with it other than appropriate it for my photo shoot.  ;)
I'll pass along the compliment.

Stay safe and enjoy!

Great build, I love everything  Vw of that era, I have built many of them. Beautiful setting in the first photo.

Thanks.

It was my first VW and was a fun build. That era had distinctive styling making them interesting.
The setting was one of Yuko’s miniature builds. It seemed to fi the vehicle well.

stay safe and enjoy
