Revell 1957 Ford Country Squire

I had planned to post my 60 Plymouth wagon next but didn't want to steal Gerald's thunder when I saw the great looking one he posted a few days ago. Mine can wait a while.

I built this wagon using an original kit. This and the 55 and 56 Revell 1/32 models are some of my all time favorites. I have quite a few of each, both built and unbuilt, along with some of the old hobby shop displays.  I hope you like this one.

It's painted the correct Wimbledon white (thought the name in 57 may have been different). I used Modelhaus glass and AMT 1961 whitewall tires.

I foiled all the wood framework and then painted it and removed the paint from all the round mounting bolt heads.

Feel free to comment. All comments, questions, and suggestions are welcomed and I do read them.  -Rich

Wow; sweet build. That took some real skill and a lot more than average effort.

I remember trying to build one of these when they were first released. The body parts didn't go together as well as yours to say the least.  Beautiful looking paint and wood trim.

Very tidy Country Squire. It's great to see these old kits built, especially when done as well as this one.

Thank you all. I appreciate your comments. I build mostly original issue models from the 50's and 60's. I restore when I can but do use NOS kits like this one from time to time, especially if I have more than one.   -Rich
