Was not really interested in 40’s cars. 30’s and 50’s on up but not a big fan of 40’s cars until the merc I did as a custom. Stared out luke warm at best. As I was building the car I started to get into it. Then really started to like this build. This car is not 100 percent accurate. It was a race car but I turned it into a touring car and build it the way I would like to drive one. Just a water based red toner with a urethane clear. The seats were airbrushed with focus natural Terracotta paints. And everything else is tamiya paints. The 40’s are a very fun build. I was a little out of my comfort zone, like the 49 merc I did, not really into that either but these I’m really happy with. Both builds kind of fell into place.
