AMT 58 Plymouth (Christine)

Yet another Christine . I don't think this particular car would be this popular had it not been for that little movie made from the Stephen King novel of the same name. Being a big Mopar fan I won't complain. The first paint job was a disaster, the second time it went well so here it is , waiting in the corners for her next victim. The build pretty well despite the delicate suspension and steering parts.  I left the belvedere script untouched, the difference barely noticeable. Tamiya spray red and pure white coated with TS 13. The big flaw in this kit is the curved side trim that I had not corrected, I have seen others that did it and it make a whole difference. At least it's a decent representation of an iconic movie car so I am ok with it.

Hope you like it too. If you read that far, thanks for looking.1930462167_plymouthbelvedere5706.jpg.e38081da5b66b0081b2cf22639ad451e.jpg

Great work. I love this kit, I’ve built four, box stock, gasser, dirt track racer and a Richard Petty build.

Watch out Moochie!!!

Thanks David

It’s funny how a movie can turn an innocent ‘58 Plymouth into a monster! Your excellent diorama and photo skills really add to the sinister feel. Great job!

Thank you Eric. Movies are a powerful medium. they have a way of increasing the value of certain cars (think Bullitt)

Perfect, Mario ! Looks like Christine is sitting in the dark waiting for her next victim...

Thank you Helmut. The darker pictures make her more sinister.

Excellent build Mario. Those photos look straight out of the movie. Well done. 😎👍

Thank you David, the last 4 photos were taken in a "Darnell garage " spirit.

Beautiful paint and color. These looked good in red even before the movie.

Thank you David. Agreed, some did not like them but I just love the designs of that decade.
