Revell 1999 Silverado

Sprayed some clear and here we are.  Of course, some polishing will need to be done.  The phone camera makes the metallic look much larger than it appears in person.

For some comparison, I used TS-95 Pure Metallic Red over Tamiya Pink Primer for the Miata and TS-95 over Tamiya Red Oxide Primer for the Silverado.   The TS-95, in spite of having a metallic content, is somewhat translucent and the underlying color will affect the final color.  At least in my experience.  Phone camera does funky stuff with metallic paint sometimes.

Got a little bit of polishing done for the roof and hood.  Still need to polish the sides.  Polishing always (well, nearly always) makes me nervous - as I've burned through the paint before.  But so far, so good.  Not as incredible as many of the builds I see on this board.   :)  There is still some orange peel here and there, but I'm hesitant to go too far.

Typically (for me) messy workbench:

I plan to mask and paint the rubber trim once I finish polishing.  Cowl panel should be black and not red.  I also plan to replicate a spray-in bed liner for the bed:
