I assume this is the 1/1000 scale model. I can attest that he Aztec decals were definitely a challenge on the kit I built. How easy was the lighting to do? Very labor intensive, but worth it in the end. I forget the exact base color I used, Tamiya Silver Leaf (?), over a black base.
