Hi,all;

I decided to change the Avenger body over to something more identifiable - a Mustang. I had started a Mustang conversion some years ago, but messed it up trying too hard to lower it. Instead, I will graft the nose nd tail onto the Avenger and rework the backlight. Thanks for looking and comments welcome.

No, sir; it's actually Julie Nataas, who drives the Meyer Racing A/Fuel Dragster.

I know Julie drove the car but the text above the visor on the helmet reads Lindberg, maybe she borrowed Jonnie's helmet.

Jonnie Lindberg, according to an article I read online, introduced Julie to Randy Meyer. Also, the injected funny car that Julie drove was a former alcohol funny car that Jonnie , who is a chassis builder and a racer, repaired for Meyer Racing.

Thank you for your interest, Barry. This is a photo of Randy Meyer's new injected nitro car that he ran at a Funny Car Chaos event earlier this year.

Again, I'd like to say what a cool project this is. I forgot to mention that I have a very good, long-time friend who's pretty heavily involved in Funny Car Chaos. A lot of folks know him as Shaggy Racer. Lyle Greenberg is also a friend.

Thank you - your nostalgia dragster is a master class in metal work and fabrication. I remember seeing Lyle Greenberg racing at one of the Nitro Chaos events on Youtube; he drives the Cone Hunter Corvette.

This is a great build. I'll be following.

I didn't make it to Maple Grove this year but my son and grandson did. They overheard an interview with a driver saying that with TF and FC, the G forces are such that it can tend to pull your foot off the throttle, so you have to concentrate on keeping the pedal down. I had never heard that, but it makes sense.

Thanks for the kind words - this is a photo (courtesy of Baumgartner Race Cars) of a typical TF/FC throttle pedal assembly.
