Painted with Tamiya silver leaf which I really like, but had some issues due to operator error. Painted 2 cars at the same time as another 1964 is being built. Similarly classed car to Travis Hess’s, but no way in Hades would I tackle that paint job. Hard to beat testors paint bottles and plastic shim stock. I’ve built three of these Lindberg/ AMT/ Round 2 ‘64 Dodge kits (as well as two of the Plymouths) - I love ‘em, they’re great BUT….the plastic axle pins on all four wheels are crazy weak and may eventually break on you. I’ve had some success drilling out the front spindles and rear differential/ axle housing and replacing all four plastic pins with 1/16” OD brass rod or tubing. I’m hoping your plastic pins survive but if they don’t, rest assure it’s an easy one to fix, good luck! Starting on the 3rd AA/SA (another 64 Dodge, I think) this weekend. Hopefully, my skills will improve with each one. But, if not, I’m still having fun building these great cars. Couldn’t live with it, so out came another spare windshield and more tedious class decals. Had less than stellar results (not the pen’s fault, but my shaky hands). Time to move on to #3 AA/SA.
