LL3 Model Worx
I'm wondering what the best way to go about doing the stripe around a Nascar Aero wheel would be? Anyone have any suggestions or advice?
Matt T.
For wheels molded in white, paint and scratch off the ridge with a number 11 X-Acto blade, then hit the newly-white stripe with a red sharpie. You don’t have to be neat about it because the red sharpie won’t show up on the black. Recoat a second and third time with the sharpie, if needed. Works for yellow stripes too. LL3 Model Worx
Man, that is an absolute awsome tip! I wouldn't have even considered that. Thank you!
Fat Brian
I painted red rings on black wheels by spraying red paint on a paper plate and letting it flash for a bit then dipping the lip in the damp paint.

That too could also be worth a try! I'll likely try both and report my findings here.

I've heard that some builders make whitewall tires the same way.
