Detail was very, very good for such an early kit but final body fit was a problem, probably due to age rather than original molds. They look worse in the photos than on the model I'm sorry to say. After all these years only the rear lower suspension mount and tyres were missing. The side windows aren't even close so I'll have to do some thinking for them.... Decals were a tasteful shade of dark yellow so I've just used some like ones. Just for interest I've added the "Modern Day Jet Fighter" list for any early jet fans. Other cars listed included a Ferrari 342 America and a Cunningham. Overall I wish someone would remake these kits. It would be pretty popular I would think. Funny that Aurora omitted a passenger seat in this kit which I believe was a requirement on the mid-60’s in the various series these Chaparral 2’s competed in. I would love to see this 1/25 kit re-issued along with the Ferrari Berlinetta, Maserati 3500 GT, Porsche 904 and Aston Martin DB4. Had no idea they also kitted a Cunningham. It's a glue bomb that was donated to me many years go. I'll have to fix it up now. It's dated 1983. The Chapparral is dated 1966. And thanks everyone for the comments and memories.
