NOBLNG
Are these sink marks or are they supposed to be there? I haven’t used them because I’ve always thought they where blemished…but the marks are pretty consistent so? Any idea what kit they might be from? They are red styrene behind the plating. Thanks, Greg. Edited November 21, 2022 by NOBLNG
Straightliner59
Maybe from Monogram's '57 Chevy? The sink marks are definitely sink marks. That's a drag. Those are good-looking wheels.
Joe Nunes
The wheels definitely need to be cleaned up and the sink holes filled. I would remove all the chrome, fill, sand and clean the wheels and then refinish the wheels to suit the build you have in mind. Mark
Or, fix the marks on one wheel and make castings.
stavanzer
I've got two older (molded in Red) Monogram '57 Chevies with those wheels, with that problem. Not Sure why that kit does that, but almost every one has those sink marks. I just use other wheels, but not everybody can get spares. NOBLNG
Thanks Guys! I have a ‘57 Chevy that was red, so that’s what they were for. They’re in the pond now!🙂
