Here are models of cars that I have had during my decades of driving:

1972 Camaro Z/28

1976 Dodge Ramcharger

1966 Chevelle Malibu

1964 Jeep CJ-6

Missing: 1970 Impala - melted on dashboard of real car.

               1960 Chevy Impala convertible - lost in house fire.

Well here goes....in order.  I had others but no model of them have been built.

Gifted to me by my Dad when I was 17.  Had whitewalls and '58 Impala wheel covers when he gave it to me. Of course, that wouldn't do so I put chrome reverse wheels on it.

After putting up with no AC, power steering or brakes it was time for some comfort. This Cutlass S I special ordered with the  W-25 ram air hood. I ordered it without any wheel option and it came in with dog dish hubcaps.  Within a week it was adorned with Cragers as the model shows.

'79 TA, looked at it outside the dealership on a Sunday and next day bought it.  Put the Tumbler wheels very shortly after picking it up.

Many cars including several Corvettes,a couple other TA's and more between and after but here is my current and last and forever garage queen. 2002 WS6/6-speed.  Love this car!!

Several of my cars from eons ago . . .  and their replicas.
The 1960 Corvair 500 was my first car, purchased in 1966 and the Triumph TR3 was my wheels around 1973 or so.  The replica Corvair was constructed from an SMP (AMT) annual kit and the Triumph built from an old US Airfix (Hubley?) kit.  My 1969 GTO was procured sometime in 1975 and the 1/25 replica was built from pieces of an MPC promo annual and a bunch of other parts.  In each case, my original 1:1’s were all somewhat rattier than their shiny styrene counterparts portray.  But hey, those were the good ol’ days . . .

I haven't yet built any accurate replicas of my own cars - done several that were inspired by the real thing, but mixing things up a bit so it combined elements of several 1:1 cars - however I did this one a few years ago for my stepdad of the MGB he had at the time:

1968 MGB Roadster

Using the Revell-boxed version of the Aoshima/Airfix kit:

In hindsight I should have lowered the suspension (OOB I think it suits the height of the rubber-bumper cars), but I did get a can of the correct Mineral Blue paint mixed-up.

My BRZ. Also built my dad's truck, but no pics on this phone. 

which kit is that? The Tamiya or the Aoshima? If Aoshima anything to watch for?  I have one to do my 86 but it is down the que a bit. 

I am thinking of picking up the Tamiya kit and just doing my old FRS as a curbside.

Tamiya. It can only be built RHD. I also have the Aoshima kit, which can be built RHD or LHD, but doesn't have an engine (some versions have an engine, some don't, and hard to tell which ones sometimes) Both kits replicate 13-16 model years. 17-20 was ignored and they skipped right to 2022 for the retool.

 I've had visions in my mind for years of building a 1967 Mustang Fastback model as it would have been if I had one. I've had the pleasure of owning three 67 coupes and always wanted a fastback in real life. My last Mustang was the best of the three because it was built from the first two cars and I had managed to score a 351W from a 69 Mach 1. She also had a 4spd manual transmission and 3.55 gears.

I need to get some better pictures of this one, but this is a replica of my uncle's '72 Corvette.  When I was 3-5 years old, I would sit on the console, with my legs in the cargo area, looking out the back window, while my dad rode in the passenger seat.  I used the AMT '72 body and small block engine but the chassis and interior are from the Revell '69 coupe.  It's not entirely accurate.  His car was a base engine, with a/c.  the valve covers should be steel.  The real car did have a big block/LT-1 hood though.
