1/9 model factory hiro HondaNR500

A serious bit of business is this. I finally got my panhead a few months back and upon opening it I nearly fell out. Yes, it was a very large sum of money. But these are without doubt the finest kits of any subject ever made.

I will be following your build as I pluck up the nerve to possibly start mine this spring. I suspect it will take the better part of the year if not more to see it finished. I have no doubt this will also take quite a while.

Yes Dragline and Mike C . They are expensive and can drive you nuts but the results are amazing. Here are a few I have finished and two I have not. But working on them as well. The two Porsche engines are going in a 935/78 and the monster 12 is going in the 917/30. Finished the 1/24 Ferrari 166, a 1/12 cobra 427 and the Ferrari P4.

Here ya go. I have not started mine. I inventoried it when I received it as MFH instructs you to do. If something is missing when you get you kit while it is in production your parts are available, whereas if it is out of production you may be waiting a while for replacements. Here is an image from the web. Built in white.

Prepping the wheels. Their  are over 20 parts per wheel. Not including the tires or brakes. Washed the resin parts, sanded and washed again. Polished the white metal parts to get rid of the mold release on the parts. Drilled the white metal wheels. Over 40 holes. Prime with acid etch primer then if they look good, paint time. More work on these wheels than my whole 1/25 camaro. But worth it.

I've always wanted to try my hand at a kit like this.  It looks like there is a significant investment, not only in the kit itself and the time to complete it but also ancillary tools & materials as well as prep. Given all that, I'm most likely better to follow along with your build.

At least for now.

That finished wheel looks great !  At least there is only two !

LOL!!! Thank you Ray. There are 30 parts on each wheel. Does not look like it but it’s a lot of parts for one wheel. Oh ,,,,31 parts, I forgot the tire stem / valve.
