happy grumpy
The middle tri-5. I build this one to represent the box art. I liked the color combo. When I was young , these were quickly disappearing but I remember going to the junkyard and pretend I was driving in these retired beauties. Beautiful kit, it builds pretty much like it's sibling the Nomad version . My least favorite of the tri-5 but I still like it . I wish I could spend my vacation in that decade. As always , thanks for looking.

Classicgas
Beautiful. What did you use for the purple? Very close to what I mixed up for my 56 nomad.
presnell
Nice job on the 56,love it! I spent many hours behind the wheel of a 56 150 series business coupe driving to and from Eglin AFB Florida to Asheville NC when I was in the Air Force. Wish I still had it! papajohn97
Really nice box art build! Impeccable paint and workmanship. My first car was a high mileage but clean turquoise & white ‘56 210 two-door sedan (is every “210” a “Del Rey”?). Bought it in 1972, a time when you could buy a nice tri-five for < $500. I picked this kit up at Michael’s last year with the aim to build a tribute to my first ride, hope I can do half as well as you’ve done on your build. espo
Beautiful looking showroom style build. The trim is all cleanly done and the stance looks right for stock. We had a 210 four door with the 6 cyl. and three on the tree back when. Nothing fancy, but dead reliable even in the sub - zero winters in Illinois. Chevrolet offered the Del Rey option as an interior upgrade on the 210 series. Starting in 1954 Chevrolet offered the interior upgrade that would give the buyer a nice-looking interior trim without having to pay the price of going into a Bel Air. This was offered thru the 1957 production run. My father bought a new 1956 Chevrolet 210 four door but with the standard interior. No one ever accused my father of spending money needlessly. He also managed to save even more with the 6 cyl and tree speed, no overdrive. No radio and only black wall tires and the dog dish hub caps. How they ever got him to buy the bumper guards is a mystery. 1

NOBLNG
Excellent looking build Mario. These are actually my favourite of the tri fives, even though I think the’55 has cleaner lines. My Dad had one that he retired before I was old enough to drive and it was sitting in the bush on our farm. I’m working on one now….thanks for the inspiration. The most important aspect of this hobby or any hobby for that mater is to have fun. As long as you have fun, nothing else maters. As for the skills, I still screw up and in fact, no model is 100% there's always that little nagging thing that 's not quite right, at least it is for me. So enjoy building. 6 hours ago, NOBLNG said: Excellent looking build Mario. These are actually my favourite of the tri fives, even though I think the’55 has cleaner lines. Thanks Greg, working on an actual 56 must be a blast. You should build a replica after you're done and post it here. 5 hours ago, Tom99 said: Very nice!
