Madhatter Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 hey everyone It's been a while since I last completed a car, so whilst waiting for more Fiber Optic to arrive, I thought I'd build this Tamiya Ford GT I was never a big fan of this car until I saw this one in a YouTube video set in Dubai about rare cars on offer. It really stood out from the usual blue ones you see a lot of online. I used the Hobby Design AM set with it. Painted in Zero Paints Graphite and Tamiya Red and utilizing the black stripes that came with the kit, I ended up with the below subject. I am really happy with how it came out and it was my first time using SMS 2K clear. Thanks to this site and YT, my car finishes are coming out way better than they used to! Anyways, thanks for stopping in and having a look. Any and all critique is welcomed as you can only get better from it 10
ea0863 Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 This paint and stripe combo came out perfect! I see ones running around my neighborhood from time to time, and they are stunning vehicles - - - but as you say, almost all are Ford blue. 1
Roger U Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 A very cleanly built model. The paint and graphic design are just beautiful. 1

espo Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 Beautiful looking paint finish and like the interior contrast. Clean trim details. 1
Rich Chernosky Posted May 15, 2023 Posted May 15, 2023 A knock out Ford GT. Really like this color combo. Great job. Now I'm sorry I painted mine blue. 1
Madhatter Posted May 15, 2023 Author Posted May 15, 2023 Thanks everyone for your really kind comments. I really like this colour combo to. I did take some liberties here and there with the interior to personalize it a little bit. I f I were to own a GT, this would be the colour I'd choose for sure.
Rattlecan Dan Posted May 16, 2023 Posted May 16, 2023 Gorgeous. Excellent work. Very Eye catching! Thanks for posting. 1
