Slotto Posted May 21, 2023 Share Posted May 21, 2023 I picked this up at the NNL last weekend. I used to own this kit when I was a kid and remember it fondly. It was marked as built at $15. I asked the vendor if that was the best he could do and said he would take $10 for it. It appeared to be all there so I went for it. When I got home I disassembled it and sprayed the body and interior with my preferred paint remover. While the parts soaked, I freshened up the engine a bit. so far I've added a distributor, plug wires with boots, a coil, fuel lines, openings for the heater hoses and carburetor linkage with a return spring. The Dollar Store kind does absolutely nothing. Like Les said, it works almost immediately. Then rinse and wash with Dawn, and you're good to go. I think I just shaved a little from the front of the spring, and maybe redid the front perch.
