ROCKETSHIP: a heavily modified twin-jet engine Hemi-Hydro with scratchbuilt trailer

Recommended Posts

Hi!

Never one to waste good leftover parts, my mind got to work when I found the remnants of an Hemi-Hydro hull in a Ziplock at a recent show. I mixed the 3/4" narrowed hull with a Revell Corvette Indy canopy + Johan's 70 Eldo triple wide custom seat + jet engines from a Hasegawa Egg plane kit. The rest (deck, cabin floor, dash, gas tanks, wing, rudder etc.) is scratchbuilt.

The trailer and gas tanks/fuel pump, hydraulic cylinder, winch, and all was scratchbuilt with Evergreen and kit sprues.

Tamya's & Mr. Hobby Top coat clear + Molotow & Alclad chrome.

My first boat ever. Care for a ride? All aboard!

That is " TOTALLY AWESOME " !!!

The trailer is a work of art all by itself.

However, shouldn't  the trailer axles be a bit further forward. I realise it's probably a light boat, but the tongue weight on the tow vehicle would be very heavy.

But I don't care, you have created something  that I would love to take a ride in .... and I don't swim.
