Brianl Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Started with the AMT '57 T'Bird and the Momongram '99 SVT Mustang. The idea was to use all off the SVT running gear and interior in the T'Bird body. Then decided to do a full custom attack on the the T'Bird.... This is what happened!! Brian 13
Zippi Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Your 57 T'Bird turned out really nice. That color really pops and it has the perfect stance. Nice build.
bisc63 Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Very cool custom. I really like your use of subtle color for such a strong visual impact.
espo Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Beautiful looking body work and the interior and color all flow together. Do you have two different hoods for this build?
Rattlecan Dan Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 I agree with Rusty. Very cool looking custom and paint.
alan barton Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 That's a great concept. A very modern take on a classic without losing any of its character. Cheers Alan
Brianl Posted June 26, 2023 Author Posted June 26, 2023 Thanks for the kind comments. Hey David The hood is the original kit hood. The molding is so thick that I was able to file of the scoop off without going right through!! What was interesting with this build was how well the Mustang bits fitted into the Thunderbird. Brian
Koellefornia Kid Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Very nice T-Bird with cool mods and a great paint scheme! It reminds me a bit of my '56 Bird I built a couple of years ago... Are these Aoshima wheels? They look really great sitting deep under the body!
ToyTund2009 Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 Great build, body work and paint look fantastic. This is what Ford should have done when they introduced the retro T-Bird back in the early 2000's
Brianl Posted June 26, 2023 Author Posted June 26, 2023 Hi Oliver They are Aoshima wheels. Very frustrating things. Beautiful on the outside and crude as, on the inside, which lets down any detailing on the underside. Thanks again for the comment's gents. Brian
