I want to create my own figure sculpture and cast it.I need to know what the best clay to use so it doesn't dry out while I'm working day to day. Next, tips and material use for casting a mold and then tips on casting the figure in resin or vinyl, neither of which I have ever done. Andy Wyatt Posted March 28, 2006 Share Posted March 28, 2006 As far as the sculpting goes, try Fimo or Sculpey...you can get it at craft stores. They are a polymer clay that stays plyable until you bake it in your home oven, then it gets hard like porcelain. Don't know anything about casting so maybe someone else can help you there.
