What?!?! A Box Stock Build?

Just started my next project... a box stock Monogram 59 Vette. I don't think I've built box stock in 15 yrs, but I thought I'd give it a try. Hopefully, this will be next years GSL entry for me (depends on how well I hide my goofs!). This kit has great torque thrust mags and lowering options, so it meets my minimum standard. Along with the opening trunk, seperate side coves and multi piece frame, this is, in my opinion, an excellent candidate for a box stock build.

3 weeks in and all I've accomplished is body paint! (Do you know how hard it is to paint black?!?!) The coves are Wimbledon White, as will be the interior (probably)

Box stock but not quite factory stock. Tuxedo Black was available only with Silver coves. Sorry to nitpick.

Take your time and this kit will build up into a beautiful model.

To nitpick even further... Wimbledon White is a Ford color! As Early iron stated, Mag wheels and lowered... not stock, but definitely the way I like 'em!
