meh i doubt the world cares anymore

I know I don't. I quit baseball after the strike in '93. Overpaid bunch of spoiled brats. And I hate the Yankee's on top of it. ;)

Since I am from Massachusetts and root for that team in Red I will not comment.

Congrats to the Yankees.....

Bob F

so am I .. WOOT Yankees!!!!!!!

I grew up in Hartford, halfway between. People there lean one way ot the other. For me it was ALWAYS Yankees! Now, living in Massachusetts, but being close to the New York State border, I have some protection with Yankee infiltrators here. :)

The most disgusting part of the whole series was the team donning the commercial hats and tee shirts for the mound celebration .. what is this, NASCAR? B)

I watched the series but had zero passion for it since the strike and free agency. What baseball and football are now are city hosts to a bunch of vagabonds who change colors every couple of years but the one prevading color is green. To me it is equally at fault by both the owners and players, and now probably unavoidable. Maybe everyone won on the deal, except the fans.

When I was a kid every player in the little league wanted to grow up to play baseball in the majors. Now the kids from my son's little league all want to get to the majors where the real money is.

Here we are complaining about 15 bucks a kit, and these guys are earning millions for a 3 hour workday, 162 days per year.

The Yankees proved it this year, and a few years ago, Joe Robbie made a point by buying a baseball team that won the series, sold the championship team and the new buyer recaptured his investment selling off the players. And we watch this. I don't stamp sucker on my forehead anymore. I watch a few playoff games and a couple of series games.

On the "Best ###### Baseball Bloopers" one of the segments was Manny Ramirez flubbing a ball in the outfield, tripping on his feet, and rolling on the ball, losing it, or Jose Canseco getting beaned on the forehead trying to field a routine fly ball. And they get millions for this?

I will always love baseball, but not respect the major leagues today.

Holy crusty old farts, Batman!

Poor Marcos posts his excitement at his favorite team winning and everyone jumps on the cr#p-wagon to bash whatever they are bashing today. Quit inflicting your pathologies on the rest of us on the forum.

As far as this subject goes - I am a Twins and Yankees fan and even though the Twins lost to the Yankees I wished them well. I choose to see the sport that is hidden inside of the money and commercialism of most modern sports including racing! Behind all of the money, celebrity, and sports channels and talk shows, etc - there is still an athlete or team trying to do their best!

Okay guys, I am not starting anything here, if it gets deleted, well, what can I say. I am just a happy man for this win, that's all I am going to say, everyone has their own opinion and I respect it.

As for me, well, I will just keep wearing my Yankee gear like I have always been wearing it, this thing about the Yankees winning because they have all the money just makes me laugh all the time but then again, we have not won since 2000 so how does this money thing work? B)

Anyway, I hope next year someone else wins so that the "money" thing can make sense again, or not! We have enough wins to survive all the criticism that will always come our way. I had a lot of fun this year with sports, between Baseball, Football and Boxing, I have had a lot of high winning percentages, not everyone can say that!!!! :P See ya next year!!!!! :o

From Philly so I watched. Not big on professional sports myself but feel we feilded a decent team who come off as blue collar as oppossed to those prima donnas in blue. What's up with Derek Jeter? Is that some kind of deformity with the facial expressions and talking to hisself or drugs?

So you're the one guy who doesn't like Jeter.

Yankees a little off topic?

Yup so who gives a cr*p about the overpaid steroid chuggers.......

:D baseball is a pretty lame sport and a excuse to drink on sundays like football and basketball. rugby is a true mans sport.
