I would like to see more pics of that Merc with the extended headlights as it looks interesting. If you have posted it before then I must have missed it.

Very realistic looking bricks.

???????????

If u talking bout my man cave. They look real because they are. It's a small shed used to be a coal shed. Great for what I need. Also keeps the heat in when I've got the heater on in the winter. <_<

It's a combination of a Model King/AMT short track Malibu, an AMT 68 El Camino (the rear window area, top of the bed rails and the inside bed panels) and scratch building. The whole thing from the rear wheel wells back is all scratch built. I still need to modify the bumpers to resemble a factory street car. The rest is pretty much done. The 68 El Camino also gave up it's chassis and interior but I did have to add some length to the chassis to correct the wheelbase.

Here's the link to my photobucket that shows the process.

Very nice indeed, Paul. I'll be interested to see how you resolve the rear bumper issue; getting those taillights in will be a bit of a job.

This is my bench I know it's Tuesday but it's been like this over the weekend from left to right

Volvo globetrotter I broke while taking it apart, then it's a scania "cool fruits" cab dark blue, then a scania ?????? Light blue. In the corner is a merc recovery truck, then a eddie stobbart. All in need of restoration. Then there's my 1/18 escort cosworth. And above on the shelf what's that more trucks in need of TLC lol I'm going to call it Craigs truck stop haha .

Chuck i'm very curious to see what your "half-Corvair, Small Block powered, Beetle truck cab thing going" is going to look like :D Sounds very interesting.

Same here- I have no idea where it's going! Total 'seat of the pants engineering' going on here, my standard MO!

This was what the cab started out as, it's the same kit as the current Aoshima issue, only molded in yellow instead of red-

A day late, but I was wrapped up in a couple of projects yesterday!

This is a '61/'63 Rambler American, the AMT 'Rambler' slammer kit on an AMT '66 Nova Pro Street chassis.

Or how about a 1910 Studebaker Hot Rod? It's the old 1:32 Minicraft kit with a chopped top, scatchbuilt frame, and a few choice bits from a Revell Edelbrock Midget.

And what I hope will eventually be a 'pro-street' style Revell Gran Turismo. Yes, those are the wheels and tires from the Ramblur.

And of course I'm still plugging along on the Buick.

  • 4 weeks later...

One I've been working on- I've wanted to build a diesel-powered rat rod for a while, and this is where I'm at with that so far. It's an IH V-800 engine in a modified Lil Mixer chassis- who knows what other stuff I'll use to fill it out.

Just for fun... see how many kit parts you recognize in the photos. ;)
