You're still safe. The Challenger didn't race in NASCAR. It was run in the TRANS-AM series where they ALWAYS raced turning both left AND right Ed
Crazy Ed
It looks really great! was there a purple challenger that ran also? Nope, just another Green one which was Sam's backup Car driven once by Ronnie Bucknum and once by Tony Adamowicz. Ed

dencon
Nice job on your model. Looks like a clean build. I know what you mean about Frank (Slickpaint) I have to see his models all the time and next to my builds. He is one of my best friends and one of the guys in my build group. I have been becoming a better modeler because of him. You should see his real car!!!!! He doesn't like me talking him up. He gets all LOL!! I like those early Trans Am cars. Looks real good. The sentence should have started with "That" not "The". Thanks. Ed

I knew that Trans-Am and Nascar are 2 differend races But i dont know much of them I think that Trans Am "Show Room Stock Cars" are quite appropriate under here in the NASCAR section. Really no other place to put these types of models. That Model looks GREAT in here! Matt

He also restored a Petty built NASCAR Latemodel Challenger that was built using the MOPAR Kit Car race cars that MPC kitted and later AMT reissued as the Sprt Dart. MPC never did a Challenger version of those kit cars in a scale model. Matt

Navy48
I was aways a BIG fan of the old Trans-Am series, especially when MOPAR got involved. Dan Gurney with his AAR 'Cudas and the AutoDynamics Team with their Challengers were always fast, just couldn't quite 'close the deal'. Great build! Simply AWESOME!!! FUSIONBOY
There was a purple challenger ran by Swede Savagein the series. Swede is also the guy who at indy is shown in a destroyed car with his feet hanging out the front end, what a name for a racer! the Posey build is excellent! saw an article on Sam while ago, still has the fire , but his body is fighting him on it. Matt Thanks again everyone for the kind words..I believe he replied to this a few yrs. ago on another forum and pointed out a few errors I wish I'd known about him before I built it, I probably would have bugged the heck out of him as he was obviously a fountain of info. as it was he shared a lot of interesting info about the car, hope he's doing well
David Thibodeau
Beautiful Job there Brian.... I hope you dont mind if I post some of the version I did almost 6 or 7 years ago. I built it for the Gentleman that owns and Historically races this car that was restored by ViperDave. His name is Ken Epsman. He lives out in California and owns (last time I talked to him) a precious metal collection business. Anyways here is the one I built and he has in his collection. more pics here.... Again hope you do not feel I pirated your thread... if so PM me and I will remove them! Dave T
bsoder
Absolutely NOT Dave...I'm glad I got to see yours man, I've been a fan of your builds for a long time ..one thing you can say about this car, it may not of had a real successful racing career..but you sure couldn't miss it!!
