Ron Hamilton
You remember this one. A little putty, paint, parts, elbow grease, and some luck, I ended up with this. Well here is the finished product. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. I hope you enjoy it.
Fisher61
Great looking restoration Ron! I love those big GM cars from 1960. That before picture looks like one of those paint jobs I would have been proud of when I was 8 years old!
John E. Bowers Jr.
Ron, that is a simply beautiful restoration and transformation! I am actively seeking this kit to do a build of one of the cars used in the USA Network series "Burn Notice". Any idea who might have one? Fantastic job, man! J.B. Guest
Well, I never!!! How dare you post pics of a real car, and call it your build!!!! Wow! That is incredible work!
camaroman
Nice work.... Why can't they repop these old kits????
Lyle Willits
Nice work.... Why can't they repop these old kits???? If RC2 (AMT) still had the tools for these old kits, you can bet they would have been reissued several times by now. Many of the old tools are gone. RON - fantastic job giving that old model a new life. When I saw it at the MAMA meeting, I didn't remember what you had started with. Impressive work...I will never look at the garage sale junker the same way any more. You must be proud of this one considering where it came from and where you took it. R & R did a resin repop of the car years ago. I have one somewhere in my basement. This one, while heavilly painted, was not too bad to work with, once the paint came off. E St. Kruiser50
Ron Your "RESTO" job came out beautiful . I learned something from yours - I'm not done - THOUGHT I WAS. I didn't know there was chrome on the hood "V", so I need to get the BMF back out and finish it. It looked pretty plain, so that'll help. Again, very nice, and really Rich looking in the "SILKY SMOOTH BLACK" .
