another Dale Earnhardt Jr. build. this one is going to be his raced version richmond win where he blew out the right rear tire during his burnout. right now theres nothing that spectacular to see but it gives me some motivation. there just isnt enough time in the day to work on it and keep the misses happy haha just kidding hunny!

i integrated the roll bar into the body from a reference picture

Hey thanks alot! well not much to report back about but it was my first time using timiya paints and i like the result! used a various amount of timiya paint to heat stain the exhaust headers that i formed from sodder wire... was my first time ever doing this or even making my own headers so sorry if it looks a little sloppy! and finished the ignition plate! thanks for checkin it out.

Hey Ray!! Nice engine and ignition plate look´s pretty nice! What type of red you use for the transmition and is this specific for Dale Jr. Cars?? or thay are other ones that have it!?

Thank´s again

hey jose, thanks a lot! well when i went to north carolina for a race i went to a bunch of race shops and actually went to dale earnhardt inc. and they had the engine on display but it didnt have the transmission on it... so im trying to be as accurate as possible but decided to paint it red to give it a little color variety!

Awesome looking progress so far Ray!!

Are those headers going to have some sort of collector on them? (where it attaches to the exhaust dumps)

I'm currently working on the '97 T-Bird Winn Dixie driven by Mark Martin. I hope to have it finished one of these years!!

alright, the engine is pretty much all finished! had to take a break from the project for a little while...it started to feel like work and thats never fun! first time using pro tech hex fittings and lines and they've worked great! im very satisfied with their products! since this is the "raced" version car i was leaning to a more dirty engine but there are a few spots in the pictures i noticed i'll have to work on, thanks for lookin!

Ok so here is the most updated pictures... *the car is not finished* i decided not to go ALL out the the detail because since this is the "race win" version with a flat tire you only need to see its good side :P haha i also decided not to install the engine and radiator because on this build i wanted to keep the hood down and secured with hood pins which in these pictures only one is installed haha...i'll save the engine and extra parts for my next project...a race shop diorama :D
