Randy Kern Posted January 10, 2010 The Tamiya kit, which I did as sort of a resto-mod. Body paint is Dupli-Color Alpine Green Pearl (including the floorboards and fender beading), and the interior is Rustoleum Interior Accents Soft Wheat, with copper embossing powder for carpet. Wheels are from the Revell '50 Ford pickup. A parts box steering wheel, skull shift knob, and aluminum exhaust tips were added, with some engine wiring. I looked through my decal stash and found an old 'Scat Performance VW' decal for the rear window. Oh yeah, you gotta name these little devils, so I used one of my wife's names for our Pug, 'Bumbles' Thanks for looking!

Foxer Posted January 10, 2010 I like the build and look. but whats with those wheels? The spokes look like they are turning in all the photos..has to be just the reflection off the paint/coating, but kind of cool. :

58 Impala Posted January 10, 2010 Great build, that is the nicest bug build I've seen. You hit the Cal look right on the spot, the wheels and tires from the 50 Ford work perfectly.
