Mr. Can Am Garage
Someone just had to do this. Tamiya TS15 blue and TS16 yellow with Fred Cady decals. The engine was painted aluminium to represent a vintage Chevy racing engine.
Zoom Zoom
Too cool! 8) Sure wish there were 19/20" modern Minilites in scale...
S10man
That looks fantastic John. Do you have an original to pose them side by side?
Mr. Can Am Garage
Too cool! 8) Sure wish there were 19/20" modern Minilites in scale... You and me both. Would have made the finishing touch for this project. Thanks!
Mr. Can Am Garage
That looks fantastic John. Do you have an original to pose them side by side? Unfortunately, I don't. Never felt the urge to build a vintage race car and now that Fred Cady has retired, decals to do it would be a major stumbling block. Mr. Metallic
Too cool! 8) Sure wish there were 19/20" modern Minilites in scale... Did any 1/20th models have minilites in them? That would be about the right size in 1/24/25 wouldn't it? I know MPC and AMT went through a faze back in the 70's where they were doing 1/20 stuff, so maybe there's a chance? MojaveRacer104
Hey John! As a guy who was around SCCA racing when Trans AM was in it's heyday, and as one who has professionally restored a Penske Javelin TransAm Champion car...I really like your take on the new Camaro! As an interesting tie-in to this deal...A young lady on my block has just graduated from UCLA. Her boyfriend spent this last summer working as an intern at GM working on the new Camaro!! lambertjr
I love the paint job. I did a '06 Mustang in nearly the identical paint scheme. It was supposed to be a parody of a car for a Blue Angel pilot.
