krishna.iskandana Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 Hi again, This is a 64 1/2 Ford Mustang convertible from revell built straight out of the box. I built this one with the same theme as the shelby GT 500. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking. Regards Krishna Iskandana Perth, Western Australia
Greg Cullinan Posted May 27, 2010 Posted May 27, 2010 These colors really look good. I'd like to cruise this on a nice sunny day!
ChrisPflug Posted May 28, 2010 Posted May 28, 2010 Actually "64 1/2 and 65 V8 engines had their engine blocks, heads, and intakes painted black. The 289s(A,C,and D code) had gold valve covers and a gold air cleaner with a black snout. The 289 HiPo(K code)had a black engine with chrome plated valve covers and air cleaner. The 260s had black engines with blue valve covers and a blue air cleaner with a black snout" I'm not a Ford guy but lean towards factory stock and like to research details.......
krishna.iskandana Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 Very nice...but not sure what to make of the yellow engine! Otherwise nicely turned out. Thanks and you're right, the engine is suppose to be blue.
