I agree with Mark here on all points; very nice build of a less than stellar kit and the 5.0 badges need some love. I own 4 of these cars right now (1:1s) and I can tell you the first place I look is the fenders after the initial look-over and listen.

Now, this gets into a matter of personal opinion here, but the ride height of the kit is very....um....skyjacked shall we say. A 1/16" lowering brings the car back to regular ride height.

Hey Chuck...with duals, the rumble, and the GT cladding; removing the 5.0 badges would hide nothing!

Once again, very nice build. I see you chose the 'Porno Red' interior for the car...an interior color that is either love it or hate it and not too common AT ALL with the 'Wild Strawberry Metallic' exterior color option. A friend of mine has a car very similar to this model, only with the Gray/Black interior. The intake looks spot-on and you did a sweet job with the intake plaque placement and realistic look........be proud of it. Very nice...I like the color. Looks spot on to "Wild Strawberry Clearcoat Metallic" like my 1990 LX 5.0.

One suggestion, the only thing I would add is to either paint or get the Model Car Garage photoetch for the 5.0 badge on the fender. It's the first place any Mustang owner will look just out of habit! B)

I had an '89 LX ragtop... and every driver that pulled up next to me would see the 5.0 badge and want to race... it never failed! lol!

Thanks for the comments. I painted the 5.0 badge on the fender.

I like it.

One girl I went to high school with (she was two years ahead of me,) had a brand-new black/gray/black GT convertible. I was lucky enough to get a ride home once from her. She was cute, sweet, bright and could drive a 5-speed! Unfortunately, she was also dating a friend and therefore way off limits.

GT convertibles always bring back pleasant memories. I can't help but wonder what happened to her.
