cargostar Posted September 23, 2010 Share Posted September 23, 2010 Yes, there was an SSII option available from '77-'79 SS stood for Safari Scout, and was a bare bones Scout without top, doors or interior carpeting. Over the years, the misconception is that SS stood for Super Scout, but, it was originaly Safari. It has the '77-79 grill from the off road kit, with the stock components (seats and exhaust) from the '76 kit. It is the version that has been re-issued.
