curt raitz
Here we go... couldn't pass up the oppurtunity to build a hovercraft to accompany the two Raul Perez has built based on the movie "The Fifth Element" I picked up an old AMT '63 Corvette Roadster kit awhile back...had already been started, wheel wells were radiused and the kit was in a bad way. Perfect specimen for a hovercraft. At our last club meeting Steve Alamand let me check out the "Beatnik Bandit". The bubble top and interior from the "Beatnik Bandit" would work quite well in the corvette So, picked up the "Beatnik Bandit" at the LHS and started filling in holes, assorted parts, bottom plate, etc. this is what I've got so far: Gotta lot of work left on this puppy...powerplant, plumbing, etc thanx for lookin' Edited October 22, 2010 by curt raitz

The bubbletop idea is sharp, I like how the Ed Roth pieces are being used here....well thoughtout. we're watching.

David G.
What you've done so far looks great. I love the added fin and thruster. Early Corvettes really lend themselves to this type of build, I chose a '57 gluebomb for mine. I hope to get some pics posted soon.
