I had seen them on e-bay in the past year, And they looked terrible, It was a very botched job to say the least, I hope someone does one that looks right, the one I seen was complete junk, and looked Nothing like the real car.

Yes it is, Someone on the other board made a 73 Polara out of a 70 Impala and a 77 Dodge Monaco, I wish I could remember who built it, But the car look great, I sent him a PM and asked if would do another for someone to cast in Resin, But he never got back with me on it,Someone else did a 74 , And did a decent job on it, I can't remember who made that one either, It may have been Space Cowboy, But he does so many cars its hard to keep track of. I think the 70 Impala would be a good starting point though,You could do that one Jeff I have seen your masters,And own alot of your stuff, And I'm very impressed with the quality of workmanship you do.

Actually, that blue & white NYPD cruiser model depicts an '80-'89 Diplomat. The '77-'79 had a notably different frontal appearance.

1978_dodge_diplomat-pic-1970685215769218081.jpeg

Regardless, I'm surprised SpaceCowboy was able to massage a Mustang to that close a replica of the '80+ Diplomat. It was a good effort!

The recent diecast by MotorMax nailed the '80s Diplomat/Gran Fury/LeBaron!

Too bad no one has done the early '70s Plymouth Fury/Dodge Polara police package sedans in plastic, resin or diecast. I'd love to have a 'Blues Brothers'sedan, a couple of 'Walking Tall'marked and unmarked Dodges, and some replicas of those legendary early '70s squad cars that were so prolific around the country!

Yes Space I remember when you made both of those cars, The 73 Polara was made by someone else, You did one heck of a job on both of those Dodges! B)

Nick no offence,I have seen the car you speak of on e-bay, And that has to be the worst representation of that car I have ever seen, It looks like a toy to me, Or one of the very crude Palmer Kits from the 60's and 70's, They were indeed sold on e-bay. If they have there own website then maybe thats where you got it,I don't know, I wouldn't waste my money on it, Nor would I encourage anyone else to do so. I would rather spend the money that would be wasted on that mess on the 1/18 Diecast 74 , That resin body doesn't have one accurate line on it. So don't waste your money on it, It makes frontier resins look like Modelhaus kits, Its that bad. Edited by spkgibson

Ok where did you buy it from? I have only seen those on e-bay ,THAT IS IT. Let see some photos ,And yes I did read your post.If your putting out false information about this, So A REAL resin caster won't make up a master of a totally accurate one, That is keeping us all from buying one, If it is ever done. I think I know ALOT more about this kind of stuff,As I have been doing master for people for over 3 years now. The one you are talking about is the Georgia Car, I seen it and its junk to me,Period!

Not to take away from your toils, Gareth, but once again, a "wrong scale" effort.

{BTW, I think there's a slot car in 1/32 already.}

1/25, people. That's the scale everyone wants. There's already 1/87, 1/32, and 1/18.

What Dan said, I would buy a few if they were done in 25th scale, but really?, 1/32 scale, why?

Sorry, didn't realise this was 1:25 only. I made it 1:32 because that's a popular slot car scale, there definitely isn't one already available!

The benefit of doing models as I've done a few of mine, is that the master can be printed at any scale (although too big like 1:10 might show a lack of detail) then a mold taken from it.

That's a really obscure one! I'm up to my eyes in a GMC van and Pickup truck right now, I'll see how things go when they're cleared.
