What European automotive subjects would YOU like the see as a 1/24 scale kit?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I'm wondering what European automotive subjects you as a North American, wish to see as a 1/24 scale plastic model kit.

BTW please also post the State you're living in (CA, MN, IL, MI, Alberta, Quebec, etc.....)

It's no poll, just wondering what lives, on the other side of the big pond.

Thanks in advance for participating!!

Bug Eye Sprite

Gunze Sangyo - same with the Isetta

I would love a Triumph TR-4 in 1/24. Have to make do with Airfix 1/32 for now. A TR-6 would also be very cool.

Oh, and a Volvo 303 - or one of those similar kooky looking go anywhere rigs.

A Volvo P-1800

More Volvo wagons- what car is more iconic?

More M-Bs of the 1960s, especially the common cars like the 190 and 220 sedans. The convertibles and a couple of SLs would be nice, too.

A Jaguar XJ in any body, but especially the sedan.

Some of the Vauxhalls and Opels that were sold stateside by Pontiac and Buick dealers.

Saab 92-93-96-99-900-9000 (pre mid-1990s.)

A Volvo S80 (I always though those were pretty cars.)

I'd like to see the Gunze-Sangyo series of itty-bitty European cars they made in the mid-1980s re-released.

A 1950s Bentley Continental

A Ford Anglia that can be built stock.

A Ford Taunus

Citroen DS-19/21, especially a brake.

Ferrari 166 Barchetta

Ferrari 250GT TdF

Ferrari 330 LMB

Porsche 550 Spyder

Porsche 912 (1966)

Mercedes-Benz 230SL/280SL (1963-1968)

Triumph TR4A/TR250

Triumph Spitfire

Jaguar XK120 Coupe

Jaguar XK150

Jaguar D-Type

Maserati Birdcage Tipo 61

DeTomaso Mangusta (1969-1972)

Fiat 124 Spider

MGB GT

I could think of more but...!

If I had to pick my top three - 2002tii, Lusso, Facel Vega.

Hope that helps!

I agree with many of the cars mentioned above, but even though they've already been listed, I would love to see the '61-'64 SAAB 96 in 1/24. Heaven would be Tamiya doing this kit in both stock and rallye options. A 95 wagon would be welcome, too. While I'm at it, a Sonnet I and a Volvo P544 would be great. How about a Lotus Cortina, especially Jim Clark's rallye version?

Aston Martin DB4/5/6 drophead coupe

Jaguar XK140 and XK150 roadster

Bugatti Atlantic (in styrene)

Talbot-Lago "teardrop" coupe

Oh, yeah; the Talbot-Lago would be great. I remember driving back with my friend after going to the Canadian Grand Prix in '93 or so, and being passed by one of the "Talbo" 9/10 replicas on the NYS Thruway. Artwork in motion.
