Irvin Arter Jr. Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 I am hooked! Just finished my bracket drag car. Still need to adjust the wheelie bars at the track. I used Revell 67 Chevelle body with a Parma international edge rtr #452-b turn key car but added the wheels and tires
chris4q Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Brilliant work Irvin - do you have anymore cars to show? How long did it take to do this car? best chris
Jairus Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Cool! Looks like a rocket.... Maybe you could show the guys how you strengthened the front end and hood?
Irvin Arter Jr. Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 I spent a full day setting up and building this car. It's the only slot car I have built but, I plan on building another body for this frame. The only mods to the body was I cut the under the inter front fenders and firewall out and epoxed the hood and all bumpers really good. I have yet to run the car so I don't know how it will hold up but, I will now next week. I will take more in progress photos on my next one.
Irvin Arter Jr. Posted April 17, 2007 Author Posted April 17, 2007 Here are a few shots of the underside. It's still clean (that will change this week) I just used heavy coats of epoxy on the chrome and hood.
oldcars Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 It may be a slot car but I did notice it still has just the right amount of "RAKE" to it.
Modellpularn Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Ohh, it's very clean! Just out of the box and with a new body, cool... Chevelle looks good!
