Luc Janssens
An ex-Esci 1/24 scale model-kit. Mount the Machine-gun on a pickup (bed) of your choice, and voila an instant warlord vehicle.... For more detailed info about this new release, go to the Italeri website
ra7c7er
That's really cool. Wonder what made them do it in 1:24. Perhaps they already has some Rover tooling and modifying it was cheaper than making a 1:35th tooling. Or maybe we will start to see more military vehicles come out in 1:24. Like I wrote it's a re-pop of an old ('80s) Esci kit, IIRC it's the only 1/24 scale military kit they have done. Italeri themselves, did a WWII Jeep (stock a fire vehicle) & Opel Blitz (stakebed & firetruck), but none were merchandised as military vehicles, Hasegawa did with a WWII Jeep and Kubelwagen. Too bad Hasegawa never did a GMC Jimmy, that is what would've brought in the bacon...though if you want one in 1/24 scale, one can buy a resin kit. Edward Gore
I have 2 of those old 1/24 ESCI kits. They were boxed as LAND ROVER 109 PARATROOPERS kit# 3037 warlord "technical" vehicles would be a cool idea!
bigphoto
I too have this kit but it is missing the gun. Maybe Italeri can fix me up with a replacement! Also one could take the recoiless rifle from the MPC Jeep and mount it for an interesting technical!!
